Run, Walk or Volunteer for “Run for the Hills” to Benefit In-home Services 

May 3 – 7 a.m. packet pickup and race registration begin at Blue Earth Plaza located outside of the Flint Hills Discovery Center, 315 S. 3rd St., Manhattan. This race/walk benefits “Solutions for Seniors” provided by the NC-FH AAA. These solutions include Friendship Meals /Meals on Wheels, In-Home Care Services, Medicare Counseling and other essential services needed by many seniors and their caregivers. Race options include a 5k run/walk. Awards presentation follows the finishing of the 5k. The race is open to everyone. Volunteers are needed to help make this event a success. If you are interested in donating your time call the North Central- Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging at 785-776-9294 and ask for Monica Piro-Duffin. Prior to April 11, entry fee is $25 per individual for chip timed 5K and $20 for untimed walk; after April 11, $30 for chip timed 5K, $25 for untimed walk.

The North-Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging, Inc., a private, non-profit organization, plans, coordinates and sponsors services across 18 counties in Kansas. This race benefits “Solutions for Seniors” provided by the NC-FH AAA. These solutions include Friendship Meals /Meals on Wheels, In-Home Care Services, Medicare Counseling and other essential services needed by many seniors and their caregivers.
41 Senior Centers serve 2,041 meals to seniors and caregivers each day.
Four Regional Offices provide Options Counseling, information & assistance and answers to questions.

Race options include a 5k run/walk. Awards presentation follows the finishing of the 5k. The race is open to everyone. Those under the age of 18 must have a guardian sign off on the waiver of liability portion in this brochure. Dogs, skateboards, roller skates and motorized vehicles are not allowed on the race course. The race will start and finish at the Blue Earth Plaza located outside of the Flint Hills Discovery Center, 315 S. 3rd Street, Manhattan, KS 66502.
